Ngardarb Francine Riches – First indigenous sculptor in Denmark

Four WA artists whose sculptures have wowed Cottesloe beachgoers will exhibit at the first international Sculpture by the Sea in Aarhus, Denmark.

Kevin Draper, Richie Kuhaupt, Francine Riches and Jean-Marc Rivalland are among 60 artists whose work will be on show.

Held during the European summer, from June 5-28, the seaside sculpture show was initiated in Denmark by the Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary after they were impressed by the Bondi Beach exhibition several years ago.

Of the 29 Australian artists exhibiting in Aarhus, fifteen are from NSW, two from Victoria, four from Tasmania, four from ACT and four from WA.
