The Indigenous Art Code the industry body set up to promote integrity, transparency and accountability in dealing with Indigenous art (see the list of members here)
It oversees the implementation and operation of the Indigenous Australian Art Commercial Code of Conduct.
The Board of Directors of the Indigenous Art Code is the body with the authority to deal with complaints and issue sanctions under the Code. They:
- implement and oversee the application of the Code;
- maintain an online register of Code members;
- investigate complaints that a member has breached the Code; and
- issue sanctions for non-compliance of Code members.
Gabrielle Sullivan was appointed Executive Officer in 2014, the Chairman is Richard England.
