About Danie Mellor
Danie Mellor is a young contemporary artist, who divides between his Canberra studio and Sydney, lecturing in Art Theory at Sydney College of the Arts. Deeply driven by his ancestry, Mellor’s art reflects on aspects of Australia’s shared histories and the geographic and cultural region of the Atherton Tablelands in Northern Queensland. This area is home to his mother’s family and holds spiritual and cultural significance to him.
