Storylines explores Indigenous art making outside of ˜remote’ Aboriginal Australia.
Storylines was a three-year (2007-2009) ARC funded survey of ˜non-remote’ Indigenous artists. You can read our findings by clicking on the images below for individual topics or download the complete report.
The Storylines website is now live.
The three year long project utilised the Dictionary of Australian Artists Online’s artist biographical entries. It is a blueprint for what the DAAO can achieve in terms of documenting a specific thread of Australian artistic practice.
The Storylines research was conducted by:
Vivien Johnson: the DAAO Editor-in-Chief and UNSW Global Professor
Tess Allas: Indigenous Research Officer and COFA Associate Lecturer in School of Art History and Art Education
Laura Fisher: research assistant and UNSW PhD candidate
