Territorians will soon be selling Aboriginal art to European tourists – from a 250-year-old hotel in the Czech Republic.
The Moriarty family, from Katherine, ran the Top Coins and Fine Art store in Darwin, selling indigenous art along with coins and ancient artefacts from 2003 to 2005.
Businessman Damien Moriarty, 26, said most of the art buyers were tourists from Germany, Switzerland or France.
But they found there was a decline in tourist trade in 2005 – so they decided to take the art to them.
