Details on “London: International Touring Exhibition of Important Aboriginal Art & Reception”
Advance is pleased to inform members about an upcoming major international touring exhibition of Important Aboriginal Art that will be held at Sotheby’s London offices. The exhibition will run from 23rd – 26th June, 2007, with a VIP Reception on Monday 25th June.

Sponsored by Tourism NT, this exciting exhibition is designed to build the appreciation and support for Aboriginal art overseas. The highlight of this event is an astounding work by Cliffford Possum Tjapaltjarri that is Australia’s most valuable Aboriginal painting. His most valuable and iconic painting, Warlugulong 1977 (right), is the most significant to ever come onto the public market and is sure to smash the current record for an Aboriginal art work at auction of $778,000. It is being exhibited in London prior to auction with Sotheby’s in Australia. Read the full press release.
