Kudditji Kngwarreye died yesterday in Alice Springs after a long illness.
Born in the 1920’s, Kudditji Kngwarreye was half-brother to the famous Emily Kame Kngwarreye (dec. 1996). An Anmatyerre Elder and custodian of many important Dreamings in Utopia, including the Emu Dreaming, Kudditji was named one of the 50 most collectible artists in Australia in 2007.
