The Wagin Shire Council was approached to submit a banner for this project and this year they offered the idea to Wagin Rotary Club member Gloria Bliss.
Mrs Bliss, who has a degree in Contemporary Aboriginal Art and graduated her Batchelor of Arts degree with first class honours, saw this as a great initiative.
This is not just a great opportunity for the promotion of Wagin but the Rotary Club to the wider community, Mrs Bliss said.
When Kerry Tacken, on behalf of the Wagin Shire, first approached Mrs Bliss she said yes instantly and then took it back to Rotary and sold them on the idea to be involved.
