Watson of course was the winner of both the 2006 Works on Papert Award at the NATSIAAs in Darwin and the Clemenger Contemporary Art Prize that year. Also installed in Musee du quai Branly that year – a big one!
As Nicolas Rothwell’s excellent essay on indigenous art criticism in the most recent Australian Book Review says:
