Description

This piece is an original artwork conceived early 2012 by Adam, and later executed as a separate collaborative work between Adam and Will Coles in the form of Really Bins, which became a finalist in 2012 Sculpture by the Sea (Tamarama Beach, NSW). Each bin featured an embossed title of the nine federal public holidays.

The original work was a commentary on the superficiality of the ‘SORRY’ speech made by Kevin Rudd, and a finalist of the Parliament of NSW Aboriginal Art Prize 2013 (Highly Commended).

It was acquired by the National Gallery in 2017, along with the eight other bins in the series.
