Description
The oval shapes are iconographic representations of the swamps and lakes of her birth place close to Mount Liebig called Nyrripi. Ngoia’s painting is refering to the different season characteristics of her country. These swamps are protected by the spiritual presence of the water snake, which lives beneath the surface.
