3rd Annual Aboriginal Art Charity Auction, 12th October 2008 @6pm, Melbourne Australia: Koorie Heritage Trust presents ˜gnokan danna murra kor-ki‘ = ˜give me your hand my friend’.
Over 100 significant artworks collected from community art centres, artists and commercial galleries all over Australia – keeping the culture alive. Earthy barks, feathered morning star poles, brilliantly coloured canvases, sculpture and a Possum Skin Cloak to be auctioned at Deutscher and Hackett, 105 Commercial Road, South Yarra.
Proceeds will support the Koorie Heritage Trust programs which protect, preserve and promote South Eastern Australian indigenous culture.
Free viewings open Thursday 9 to Saturday 11 October 11am to 5pm and Sunday 12 October 11am to 1pm before the Auction starts at 6pm at Deutscher and Hackett Auction Gallery, 105 Commercial Road, South Yarra.
